Description

In this very special one off workshop you will use ultra rare woad watercolour pigment and weld pigment mixed with a textile medium. You will mix blue from the woad and yellow from the weld to create green, hundreds of years ago this colour was known as Lincoln Green (think Robin Hood). Angela will show you how to make a mask in the shape of a hare from freezer paper and how to secure this to white fabric before you start to paint.

You will be guided through how to apply the natural pigment paint you create to your fabric creating a landscape and, how to add tints and
texture. Left over paint will be used to colour thread. Once dry you will use perlé 12 and stranded embroidery floss to stitch into your work. Angela will demonstrate stitches and you will learn how thread can add depth and perspective to your work. You will only stitch into the hare during the workshop.

This workshop started at 10:00am and finishes at 4:00pm.
