Description
Indian wooden block printing is an ancient technique where an image or pattern is carved into a wooden block leaving the image to be printed raised. Angela will guide you through how to make a mask using freezer paper which you secure to white cotton fabric before you begin to print with the wooden blocks. You will be shown how to apply paint to the printing blocks and get tips for printing onto fabric. Once completed you will mark out your hare shape before layering up your fabrics ready for stitching. In the workshop you will be able to stitch around a few of your shapes
and the outer edge of your hare. Angela will give you lots of ideas for background stitching when you get home. Due to the nature of wooden block printing everyoneās piece will be totally stunning and individual. This workshop is suitable for those of all levels.
