Murmuration Kantha Kit

Description

A murmuration of starlings was inspired by the hundreds of starlings that flock into my garden and perch on the telephone and electricity wires outside my home (I live in a rural area). A version of this design featured in Stitching Stories issue three, but due to popular demand it is now being released as a kit. It features a lone starling looking up at a huge murmuration swooping up in the sky overhead. The kit contains all the threads, fabrics and instructions to stitch up this design. To stitch this you need just two stitches; the running stitch and seed stitch.

Complete stitched size – 27cm x 20cm

Includes:

White cotton fabric, cotton muslin (two pieces), perlé 12 thread, stranded DMC Mouliné Etoile sparkle thread, embroidery needle, full size A4 pattern.

You will need:

• Fabric marking pen suitable for dark fabric
• Tacking thread
• Light box or window
